USAP at 25: Annual USAP Run/Walk 2025

On September 20th, USAP alumni and supporters came together to celebrate 25 years of impact for the USAP program, and continued the tradition of the annual fundraising run/walk. Events were hosted in 17 locations, bringing together alumni, supporters, and sponsors in recognition of this milestone.

USAP at 25 In Zimbabwe

The USAP in Zimbabwe event was hosted at the USAP Community School in Marondera, and students, staff, alumni, and the wider community came to campus. Participants ran, walked, danced, and cycled to fundraise for Education Matters programming and to build connections.

We would also like to thank our educational partners who brought staff and students from their schools to participate in the Run/Walk event:Watershed College, Lendy Park School, Ruzawi School, and Star Leadership Academy.

We are also deeply grateful to our ongoing supporters, Johanne Mhlanga, Settlement Administrator, Tongogara Refugee Settlement, CAMFED, and Chenesai Africa who attended the Saturday event on campus.

USAP at 25 Global Events

‍

The USAP at 25 Run/Walk Global events were another highlight from this past weekend as alumni and supporters organised events and solo runs to celebrate 25 years of USAP!🎉

Various alumni took the lead in their cities to bring their peers together on Saturday and organised events to run, walk, hike, and/or share a meal. Alumni-led events were organised in the following places: Berekuso, Haryana, Toronto, Vancouver, London, Nairobi, Texas, Boston, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Chicago, Southern California, DMV, and Seattle.

We would also like to thank the alumni and supporters at Morgan Stanley who also ran in support of USAP at 25.

Fundraising Updates 

We raised US$ 24,518.33 (as of October 7th, 2025) towards our fundraising goal of US$ 25,000. We received 181 unique donations towards personal and team fundraisers, with alumni and supporters having set up 13 personal pages and 14 teams. Our top 3 fundraising pages are highlighted below.
