Richard Chapangaza (USAPCS '25) Excels at Danhiko Paralympic Games!

Richard Chapangaza (USAP Community School Class of 2025) won multiple awards at the 2026 Danhiko Paralympic Games. Richard earned the following awards:

Shotput: Gold Medal

200m Track: Gold Medal

Javelin: Bronze Medal

100m Track: Bronze Medal

400m Track: Bronze Medal

The Annual Danhiko Paralympic Games provide athletes with disabilities an opportunity to showcase their skills and participate in sporting competitions.

“It was nice to be part of the Danhiko games this year. I got a chance to reflect on the opportunities I got, ie to be part of the topnotch schools, St Faith's and USAP.  I tried to meet as many young people who live with disabilities but the only question that they were asking me is how l made it to where l am today. I could see the talent that those people have, either it be singing, music playing,  crafting  and ect. Some came to ask about my ortho prosthesis and that's when I realized what love means and how it can make a difference.  A big shout out to Mai Mano and the whole community of CURE hospital for their magnificent care and the help they extended to me.” - Richard

Richard was a Zimpact Fellow during his gap year as part of the USAP Bridge Program and is currently a first year medical student at the University of Zimbabwe.
