Education Matters through its Zimbabwe Career Connect Program prepares young people who have studied internationally for internship and job placements in Zimbabwe. As part of our Affiliate status with Africa Career Networks (ACN) in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation, Education Matters has expanded the Zimbabwe Career Connect program to encompass not only internships but also graduate trainee opportunities and professional job placements, thereby enhancing its impact and creating additional pathways to success.

In 2026, Education Matters' Zimbabwe Career Connect will recruit and place 100 program participants in internships, graduate trainee, job placement, sector challenge and/or entrepreneurship networks.

Ruvimbo Joy Sithole - Former Zimbabwe Career Connect Participant, currently working at Peakpoint Services.
“Talent is everywhere; we are a generation of ambitious builders who are 'eager to learn'. But even with that drive, the opportunities we seek require visibility: a helping hand to amplify our value and put us on a recruiter’s radar. I am incredibly grateful to ZCC for coming through just before my second-year break. Through their network, I secured a placement at USAP Community School as an interim Computer Science teacher. The role gave me more responsibility and growth than I ever imagined possible for an internship, and today, that experience remains the foundation of a professional network I still rely on.”

2026 Job Placement Eligibility Criteria

  1. Final year university student or graduate seeking employment
  2. Mastercard Foundation (MCF) Scholar, African Leadership Academy, USAP or ZCC Alumni
  3. Able to commit to the full year program with an expectation of 3-4 hours per month
  4. Eager to engage with a community of young Zimbabweans eager to pursue careers of impact in Africa

Applications to be part of the 100 job placements can be submitted to us at tinyurl.com/ZCCJobPlacements2026. The application deadline is 2 March 2026.
