Nate Kuchena - Welcoming our new USAP Community School Head

We are honoured to welcome Nate Kuchena to the USAP Community School as he steps into the role of Headmaster. Nate is a USAP alumnus (Class of 2016) and studied Computer Science at the African Leadership University in Kigali before returning to Zimbabwe where he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Education with Zimbabwe Open University. Nate was one of the founding faculty at Amazon Christian Academy in Filabusi, where he taught Mathematics and later served as Principal.

Nate joins USAP Community School with the conviction that effective school leadership is largely about getting out of talented people's way. When he is not thinking about school systems or curriculum, he can often be found on a long run in nature or reading about scripture, leadership, and African development. Nate is particularly drawn to the intersection of technology and education, where he builds tools he hopes will outlast him.
Nate says this return to USAP "feels like a homecoming of sorts" and is looking forward to running with the cross-country team at USAP Community School. Nate is a Christian and also a minimalist. His hobbies and interests include football (watching and playing), reading, coding, and arguing that the book is always better than the movie or series adaptation.
We look forward to working with Nate as we grow the USAP Community School.
