This year, we are marking 10 years since the HALI Access Network was founded. HALI Access Network is an association of non-profit organizations in Africa that work with high-achieving, low-income (HALI) students to access international higher education opportunities, and every year a HALI Indaba is hosted to bring staff, counsellors, and supporters together to network, collaborate, and brainstorm ways to increase the impact of the member organisations.

The HALI Access Network was founded in Zimbabwe in 2016, and this year as we mark the 10th anniversary, our network will be coming to Harare, Zimbabwe, for a celebratory Indaba in September, 2026. Education Matters and Makomborero Zimbabwe, as the local HALI members, are excited to be local hosts and showcase the work we are doing locally.

As part of the HALI Indaba, we will also be hosting 2 College Fairs to allow college counsellors from around the world to share more about their schools and scholarship opportunities with Zimbabwean students.
